The standards for nurseries work well the way they are so overarching them with other services may be detrimental to this as other services are very different.

As long as the aspirational elements are what we should be aiming for to get high grades and don't end up to be just what is expected by everyone to get good grades.

I think the way they are currently written works well so why change them to something that potentially may not work.

Not sure why they have to follow the standards if they are not regulated by Care inspectorate or health improvement Scotland.

This may cause to many people to be involved and the standards trying to cover too much and end up being impossible to understand or follow.

Depending what is set out it may cost current settings make changes to buildings/bathrooms/kitchens which may cause them not to be able to continue to operate it the costs are to high. The other concern would be if there is unrealistic expectations for some current providers to provide due to factors such as space, building control etc.
