working in an educational establishment with young children we use the GIRFEC model all the time however the red tape makes it hard for education and health to share information. I feel that for all areas to work together these issues need to be addressed.

having specififc targets that to relate to everyone will make it clearer for people and splitting it into core targets for specific establishments will help imporve standards across the board.

I think that the standards need to identify what they are looking for as people and establishments will identify them in different ways.

What are your views on how standards should be written?
I think it should be written as statements as the standards are there to identify how people should be looked after and treated. They are not somethng we are 'trying' to achieve, it is what we are doing to ensure everyone is looked after and cared for in the best way.

I think they need to be clear and specific. Written in bullet form and using simple language that is to the point.

I think that all parties need to be involved. I feel that consultation must happen with a variety of establishments in a variety of areas within Scotland to ensure that the standards having taken into account everyones thoughts and views to ensure that Care Inspectorate understand establishments and their needs.
