Needs to relate to education in schools. Something around acknowledging how increasing culture and creativity in schools with help to close the attainment gap.

Again needs to link to education and acknowledge that in order to help disadvantaged communities this strategy needs to target our youngest citizens (ie 0-3yrs).

Delivering A Culture Strategy for Scotland

Starcatchers are the perfect organisation to demonstrate culture empowering and changing lives. Childrens Parliament are another great organisational example.

What do you think success for the strategy will look like?
An increase in creativity and culture being appreciated in schools. Putting the A into STEM to make it STEAM. More investment into the arts and culture - and a review of Creative Scotland and how to make them more effective and for the culture sector to trust them again.

Disadvantaged people, for whatever reason they are disadvantaged (as outlined above) need to have support to attend and participate in cultural activities. Organisations need to be supported. Look at Finland in terms of how much arts and culture is subsidised by public funds and therefore making it more accessible to all.
