The South of Scotland has been viewed as the poor relative with nothing to offer for far too long.

What would you like to see for the South of Scotland?
Initially the main and only focus must be the improvement of both the A75 & A77 roads as access has to be easier and smoother, once we have the ability to get visitors into the area we can then concentrate on accommodation and things to see and do.

We fortunately have a very successful holiday cottage with a very high occupancy, our aim is to purchase and promote another one.

The overwhelming efforts and enthusiasm of the people and businesses.

Most of A & B can be achieved by the initial increase in tourism.
Fuel sales, transport support be it bus / train / garage services, accommodation, Food sales and so on. This would require support staff and "things to see and do".

"the Agency could take the form of a hub and spoke model – with its larger headquarters complemented by smaller offices in locations across the area"

Use and expand the existing tourist information offices, think that is quite obvious rather than yet another "agency" closing them !

Attract more businesses and industry to create jobs and incomes, if the road network was sorted this would be more attractive.
