there should be a cross section of board members including people with experiences of

2 - financial experience ie an accountant
3 - someone with experience in fund raising
4 - a digital/technology expert

15. We know that young people are less likely to stay in or move to the South of Scotland than they are other parts of the country. Do you have any comments on things the Agency could do to meet the interests of children and young people?

We know that young people are less likely to stay in or move
we dont need another model based on the Federation of Small Business as they are so behind the times that they are becoming the dinosaurs of business advisers and young upcoming entrepreneurs are avoiding them like the plague, we need an agency that is forward thinking that meets the criteria associated with an ever increasing use of digital media and technology

make it fair for everyone and introduce and stick to policies that promote that standing

18. We want to make sure that the Agency works effectively with a wide range of key stakeholders/partner agencies to ensure that inclusive growth also enables positive social and environmental outcomes. Do you have any comments on how this should work in practice?

We want to make sure that the Agency works effectively with a
the more partner agencies that you work with means the more red tape and conflicts of interest, in my opinion the least amount of red tape equals the most confidence that new business owners would have in the agency and its effectiveness to help them

the ability to assist new enterprises in putting together reports etc. to obtain funding either from startup allocations or from a bank or finance company

Is there anything else you wish to say about the operation of
we dont need another model based on the Federation of Small Business as they are so behind the times that they are becoming the dinosaurs of business advisers with many new entrepreneurs especially amongst the younger generation avoiding them.

Any new agency should be forward thinking and accept that we are at a more technologically advanced age and that this generation is growing up with the internet, social media and apps as the everyday means of doing business and communicating with prospective customers.
