Community Considerations

1. What are your views on the potential social, community and health impacts of an unconventional oil and gas industry in Scotland?

What are your views on the potential social, community and health impacts of an unconventional oil and gas industry in Scotland?
I know nothing positive that can come from introducing fracking in Scotland. Scotland has proven itself to be a forward thinking and progressive nation, and that holds true in regards to energy production. Solar and wind power is a growing industry that needs full governmental support, even if ignorant billionaires think the wind farms are an eye sore. Green energy has no negative health impact, so to opt for fracking, something that does have health causing issues, seems backward. Even if there were to be no negative health issues regarding humans, this cannot be true for the health of the country, we after all are not the only residents of Scotland. To risk any damage to the landscape or wildlife in Scotland would be an idiotic enterprise. Especially when you consider the money brought in from tourists wanting to experience the gorgeous country that we call our own.

2. What are your views on the community benefit schemes that could apply, were an unconventional oil and gas industry to be developed in Scotland?

What are your views on the community benefit schemes that could apply, were an unconventional oil and gas industry to be developed in Scotland?
I think any benefit to be taken from introducing fracking in Scotland would be poisoned fruit. If any benefit can be drawn from it, they would be short-lived and would be completely pointless once the long term effects of the process take hold. I think it strange that any one that speaks out on behalf of the industry would not allow the same process to happen near where they live. Possibly because of their knowledge of precisely what it does to the surrounding area and ecosystem.

Economic Considerations

3. What are your views on the potential impact of unconventional oil and gas industry on Scotland's economy and manufacturing sector?

What are your views on the potential impact of unconventional oil and gas industry on Scotland's economy and manufacturing sector?
Again, any positives that could be taken from it would be short-lived and be completely out-weighted by long term effects. Any one that states otherwise is lying and doing so for personal profit, the evidence is damning.

4. What are your views on the potential role of unconventional oil and gas in Scotland's energy mix?

What are your views on the potential role of unconventional oil and gas in Scotland's energy mix?
It would not make sense, Scotland has done great work on expanding its green energy sector, to introduce this now would be a giant step back, more so than Brexit.

Environmental Considerations

5. What are your views on the potential environmental impacts of an unconventional oil and gas industry in Scotland?

What are your views on the potential environmental impacts of an unconventional oil and gas industry in Scotland?
The environmental impact it would cause is unacceptable. There is not enough money in the world that is enough to justify the damage it would cause to our Beautiful Scotland.

6. What are your views on the potential climate change impacts of unconventional oil and gas industry in Scotland?

What are your views on the potential climate change impacts of unconventional oil and gas industry in Scotland?
Again its not a price worth paying to create energy to then sell off to our neighbours, if they want that energy, the can do it in their country, not ours.

7. What are your views on the regulatory framework that would apply to an unconventional oil and gas industry in Scotland?

hat are you views on the regulatory framework that would apply to an unconventional oil and gas industry in Scotland?
You cannot regulate the untold damage this would cause, the companies that do this have no care for environment, local, population or even appearing to. They care about one thing and one thing only..... money. And as we all know " The love of money is the root of all evil" If we let people do what the want to Scotland for the promise of a pay day, we have already lost.

Overall, and in light of the available evidence, what do you think would be the main benefits, if any, of an unconventional oil and gas industry in Scotland?
A boost in the economy would be a benefit, but the costs of such a boost are just too high.

9. Overall, and in light of the available evidence, what do you think would be the main risks or challenges, if any, of an unconventional oil and gas industry in Scotland?

Overall, and in light of the available evidence, what do you think would be the main risks or challenges, if any, of an unconventional oil and gas industry in Scotland?
1. The damage to the environment 2. The damage to wildlife 3. possibly displacement of people. 4. would reverse all the great work we have done in pursuing green energy.

I have been so proud that the Scottish Government has stepped in and stopped fracking before it could start. We as a people are against it. I would therefor but extremely angry if any fracking went ahead in Scotland, and i would be along side thousands of my country men and woman in protesting at fracking sites, and doing everything we can to shut them down. So i plead with you, if you like me are filled with pride and love for Scotland and all its residents, then do no allow any fracking to destroy the amazing place we call Home.
