Do you think the aims of this Strategy and the four priority themes are the right ones to address the challenges identified?
The Strategy has been informed by what we have learned, and continue to learn, from our experience of working to improve STEM education and training provision. It has also been informed by the recommendations made in a number of external studies and reports. (This doesn't make sense to me although I may be wrong). I would word it as: The Strategy has been developed from the compilation of current knowledge and life experiences in order to strive for improved STEM education and training provision. The strategy is constantly changing through the process of learning and the incorporation of recommendations made from numerous external studies and reports. The challenges does not explain why these challenges occur. It is confusing that each solution is placed after the bolded challenge as I thought it was going to list the challenges. "Also addressing skills gaps" is incorrect grammar

All Children be experience relevant STEM training across all disciplines. How is this measured? Would this outcome be achieved by ensuring all schools have access to STEM training activities? Ensuring all schools have access to STEM activities in order for children and young people to experience relevant and engaging STEM learning across all STEM disciplines. All young people and their families, irrespective of background and circumstance, understand the importance and relevance of STEM to their future success in life and work. How does this guarantee that those from different social circumstances have the same opportunities?

4. Do you think the scope of the Strategy is right? Tell us if you think it should exclude something or include anything else. For example, should it include training and development that employers provide for their workforce?

The scope of Strategy encompasses I think it should include the provision of training to staff by employers.

5. Give us your views on whether you think the actions already underway across the sectors on STEM fit well with the Strategy and will contribute positively to it.

Maybe include success stories on the influence from STEM actions. A table explaining the activities undertaken may be more useful to understand the data.

The Strategy document could be more concise in my opinion. Some actions could be more specific.

10. Will this Strategy improve equity of outcomes? If not, tell us what else it should include, in particular for women and girls and other groups of people – disabled people, care leavers and minority ethnic communities.

17. Tell us what you think of our proposals for a Scottish STEM ambassador network. How should we now take that forward?

Tell us what you think of our proposals for a Scottish STEM ambassador network. How should we now take that forward?
Scottish STEM ambassador network is a great proposal to improve awareness of STEM careers. I think ambassadors should be organised into their respective disciplines and undertake focus groups among each other, as well as the public to develop ideas for the program. Also produce creative ideas for career fairs to promote their discipline. Moreover, utilizing social media, and possibly develop YouTube videos which are engaging as well as informative of different pathways and STEM careers.
