Why only young people, some older people are struggling as well. Some older people encourage relatives to move up just by being here.

Lack of decent jobs. Not everyone wants to, or is able to, stand all day gutting Salmon.

Younger people are having to move to the mainland for work. The council is very Lerwick centric and doesn't help.

More housing on outer isles, more support for local businesses so that everyone doesn't have to go to Lerwick for everything from clothes to an eye test.

There will always be those who apply then change their minds, maybe if money is being given agreements should be drawn with payback schemes if people move away.
