All I have seen over the last 17 years is that large companies from the South come up here, destroy our beautiful landscape, cause distress amoung islanders and all profits from their project flow South with very little economic value to Shetlandrs. The new Viking wind park has destroyed so much land and released so much carbon into the atmosphere. The carbon capture of the peat bogs cannot be replaced. So, very little!

Look at the ferries fiasco in the Western Isles! Our lifeline ferry services are also a fiasco. Shetland benefits very little from projects built by companies from elsewhere.
