A license shld be issued to places registered as a rescue and rehoming centre and no fee should be issued as that would take valuable funds away from the keep of the animals

I dont after at all with the SSPCA being in charge of visits and inspections as through my experience they have little experience working with horses and I have experienced this 1st hand. They are all great a spouting from a book or regulations but few can actually work hands on

Once charged with animal neglect then no one should be allowed to keep animals again

Because places usually rely on donations and public funding and this charge would just take away from the upkeep of these animals

No cost should be made to the centre's they are having to rely on public funding

If they must but not a fan of the SSPCA. They can all spout from regulations and books but few can actually work with animals (through personal experience)

There is the national equine council that do a great job at the moment perhaps a similar body in Scotland but not the SSPCA

16. The Scottish Government proposes to adopt welfare standards based on those published by the Association of Dog and Cat Homes that all licensed animal sanctuaries and rehoming organisations should follow for the species they hold. Do you agree that this should be a condition of licensing?

If you are aware of any other relevant standards please comment.
I have answered yes but don't know what those standards are. But there certainly needs to be standards for each species

That would just make matters worse. The money should be spent on the animals.

Yes. Why just assume everything will be done by the SSPCA? There are better qualified charities to do the job properly
