Cost of Compulsory CCTV to Businesses

5. What do you think the cost of introducing compulsory CCTV in slaughterhouses in Scotland would be to (a) individual slaughterhouses and (b) to the Scottish slaughter industry as a whole?

I have no idea. Thoughp erhaps the Scottish government should fund or part-fund CCTV so that animal welfare is raised to the highest standard, with immediate prosecutions for and lapse and/or harm to any animal

Though maybe there could be an annual review and those claughterhouses who maintain high animal care and welfare at all times could be rewarded with a discount the following year.

Many humans see animals as lesser beings than themselves, yet all animals are sentient beings, no different from humans. The government, I believe, is bringing this into law.

Therefore, cruelty to any animal is not acceptable. Perpetrators must be prosecuted.
