Supporting families travelling distance. We received financial help from the gov and also a place to stay with Ronald McDonald. Making sure families have space to stay is important

11. What support do you think parents will most need if their baby needs to spend time further from home in a neonatal intensive care unit?

For us, we needed our family to be able to support us which was hard with the distance. It meant taking rest for ourselves was difficult cause no one could take over.
Also we gave another child that got very bored very quickly. Having services to support siblings would be a big help
