Overview

This updated consultation seeks views on drafts of the 2 statutory inputs Scottish Ministers must make to the Strategic Review of Water Charges for the regulatory period 2021-2027 and key issues arising. The documents are the Principles of Charging statement and the Investment Directions and they provide the general policy framework which will guide the detailed work on the strategic review by the Water Industry Commission for Scotland and Scottish Water.

Why your views matter

Ministers wish to ensure that the widest possible range of customer and stakeholder views are taken into account at all stages of the Strategic Review of Charges. A number of policy areas have been updated since the original consultation was published on 6 July 2018.

Read the consultation paper.

What happens next

Views received will be taken into account in the finalisation of these documents in 2020.  This will allow the Water Industry Commission to issue its final
determination in September 2020 which will set out its view of charges for the regulatory period.
