Overview

The purpose of the draft Respiratory Care Action Plan is to highlight the Scottish Government’s vision for driving improvement in the diagnosis, care, treatment and support of people living with respiratory conditions in Scotland.

This draft Plan identifies key priorities and commitments. It is intended to support continuous improvement and encourage people to test new approaches and to share best practice. It is not intended as a replacement of current clinical guidance.

Why your views matter

We have developed this draft Plan with the expectation that it will stimulate new ideas that can be further tested and evaluated.

This consultation invites everyone, clinicians, members of the public, people with a respiratory condition, third sector and others to consider and respond to the commitments made in the draft plan.

Your comments will ensure that we have considered a wide range of perspectives on the priorities and commitments in the draft plan helping us develop the best actions possible to drive improvement.

What happens next

After the consultation closes, we will analyse the responses and a report will then be published. This report will help shape the content of the final Respiratory Care Action Plan for Scotland.
