Hi
I really wanted to add my comments to this consultation.
As a family who has had multiple buy to let properties I am no stranger to the rules and regulations associated with such property. However over time the amount of compliance, regulation, taxation, landlord registration and health and safety requirements that required to be adhered to made it incredibly difficult for our landlords to operate profit taking into account the amount of work, compliance and effort needed to operate illegal.
Sadly for our family it got to the point that the properties were costing so much in keeping up with regulation that all properties were sold.
Please be under no illusion this ever grown introduction of regulation will see a significant drop in landlords and put people of letting out their home both short and long term.
