I feel these definitions are clear. Sometimes I have felt that attempts to engage learners in experiences through the use of hand over hand assistance has not always been beneficial to the learner. I feel that at times this approach is a physical intervention as it may be used against the will of the learner.

Some pupils with ASN may use seating or other positioning equipment that uses straps/belts to ensure the correct positioning as recommended by physiotherapy or occupational therapy. I feel this could be acknowledged somewhere within the guidance.
