Questions

1. Our framework sets out 8 priorities for a new Mental Health Strategy that we think will transform mental health in Scotland over 10 years. Are these the most important priorities?

If no, what priorities do you think will deliver this transformation?
There needs to be a very visible and bold awareness raising campaign (in the tabloids, on billboards, at supermarkets, shops and around the community) with a message along the lines of 'we acknowledge that it's normal for our bodies to undergo wear and tear (broken legs etc) during our lifetime but it's also normal for our minds to undergo wear and tear too - WHICH ALSO NEEDS the equivalent of physiotherapy or perhaps formal treatment with medication'

2. The table in Annex A sets out a number of early actions that we think will support improvements for mental health.

Are there any other actions that you think we need to take to improve mental health in Scotland?
As in question 1. We must make our communities understand that Mental First Aid is as important as physical First Aid - and that it's normal to suffer mental 'wear and tear' to the point of seeking clinical guidance

3. The table in Annex A sets out some of the results we expect to see.

What do you want mental health services in Scotland to look like in 10 years' time?
As thriving, positive, everyday, common, non-stigmatised services
