Challenges with the current system

1. Do you agree or disagree that the Industrial Injuries Scheme is not fit for purpose and should be reformed?

Please give reasons for your answer
Don't really understand the proposed changes. My partner receives this benefit and has been told it is for life and this is now making me panic that it may cease or new forms/appointments/assessments may be required to continue with a benefit that was supposed to be for life.

2. Of the two options which do you think the Scottish Government should proceed with?

Please give reasons for your answer
Unsure of how/what the new criteria will be and how that will affect current claimants. Will they lose money? will it be fair? Lack of information very concerning.

Next steps for Employment Injury Assistance in Scotland

3. Please tell us if there is anything relating to the timelines set out above that you wish to provide feedback on. Please specify which timeline you are providing feedback for.

Please give reasons for your answer
I think the timelines are ambitious to ensure full engagement as many of the current recipients are older, not IT literate and may not understand or realise that any changes are proposed and unaware of the whole process. More advertising or letters to current claimants to advise about the consultation should be sent out and time allowed for responses that are not IT based.
