With the lack of bus routes in some areas it won't make a difference.

2. Do you think there are any disadvantages to introducing free bus travel for under 19s in Scotland?

Radio button: Unticked No
Please provide further comments
It will increase anti-social behaviour around bus stops as groups of youths gather to go home from their social gatherings at the weekend. It will also encourage behaviour we've seen during the pandemic during the summer at Troon etc.

It should be an automatic process for everyone qualifying.

Assessing impact

6. Are there any likely impacts the proposals contained within this Consultation may have on particular groups of people, with reference to the ‘protected characteristics’ listed above? Please be as specific as possible.

Please give us your views
How will the council deal with increased anti-social behaviour on public transport given their lack of action in recent months?

8. Do you think the proposals contained in this Consultation are likely to increase or reduce the costs and burdens for bus companies, public bodies, third sector organisations or businesses? Please be as specific as possible.

Please give us your views
Will only increase costs as general public continue to reduce public transport use due to the way services are run and lack of routes.

Other considerations

9. Are there any other issues you wish to raise which are not covered in the points or questions elsewhere in this Consultation?

Please provide any further comments
I'd like to see a general service ticket or season card introduced that would be valid on all public transport companies, whether bus, train or subway. Would also be handy for tourists.
