Overview
The consultation seeks comments and feedback on policy proposals relating to certain key aspects of forthcoming secondary legislation for Part 3A of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, the community right to buy abandoned, neglected or detrimental land.
Why your views matter
The new provisions in Part 3A of the 2003 Act were introduced by Part 4 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015. Secondary legislation will be drafted following this consultation to allow Part 3A of the 2003 Act to be commenced.
What happens next
Following this consultation secondary legislation will be laid before parliament. Once the secondary legislation has passed the parliamentary process Part 3A of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 will be commenced.
