Options to Go Further

During development of the Code, stakeholders also discussed whether additional materials, services and best-practice guidance should be included in future. These topics were not included within the proposed service standards but were identified as areas where the Code could potentially expand over time.

The consultation seeks views on whether future versions of the Code should include additional guidance relating to batteries and small waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), mattresses, textiles, and preparation for reuse facilities at household waste recycling centres. Respondents are also invited to suggest any other materials, approaches or examples of good practice that could support improved recycling and circular economy outcomes.

For more information, please see the Options to Go Further section of the consultation document.
