A well thought out policy but I believe the potential health and wellbeing benefits of access to a high quality environment should be the highest priority for a very unhealthy nation.

8. Do you have any suggestions for other indicators we could use to measure progress (especially ones which draw on existing data)?
Comments:
As well as number of visits I think it is important thar we know what people are using forests for, how long people are in the forests and how many are repeat visitors
9. For any indicators suggested in answer to question Q8, please explain why you think they would be appropriate.
Comments:
How people are using the forest (and how they get there) should have a major impact on the management of the forest. Are they passing through on the way to other places or are they using the forest itself for walking cycling etc
