6. What future wellbeing issues or challenges do you think legislation could help ensure we address?

Please use this space to provide your views.
Isolation is a challenge. People need to meet others and chat for their mental well-being but must be able to get to meeting places. You need to provide public transport for all and access to the door for old and disabled people. EgWesterHailes Library in Edinburgh is too far from the nearest Disabled parking space. Legislation could insist a public building must have drop-off access at their door.

7. We are aware that the term ‘sustainable development’ has been set out in various legislation of the Scottish Parliament since devolution in 1999, and that careful consideration will need to be given to how any new definition will impact on these. What impact, if any, would the proposed definition have on other areas of legislation?

Please use this space to provide your views.
New buildings may have accessible toilets etc. but they don’t seem to consider how far you have to walk to get from public transport to their front door before you can access the accessible interior. Consider retrofitting vehicular access for disabled people so they can be safely dropped off at all public buildings.
