Supporting Disabled Children, Young People and their Families

Closes 5 Sep 2018

Opened 5 Jun 2018

This consultation focuses on the content and format of a public resource that will look to provide information, based on the lived experiences of disabled children, young people, and their families across three pillars: rights and information, accessibility of support, and transitions. The information you see in the consultation document will be developed into a website and mobile device app. The case studies reflect the lived experiences of disabled children, young people of their families and help to highlight examples of best practice.

We also appreciate that people may like a paper based version rather than a website and app so we are working with stakeholders to look at how we can do this too.

Why We Are Consulting

We have worked with disabled children and young people, their families, practitioners and third sector partners to design this resource. The information gathered from the consultation will be crucial for us to provide a resource in a format that is both practical and useful.

We would like your comments on the information in this resource, to let us know if it is relevant to you and if there are other important issues which you think we should include.

All comments will be considered and will help to inform the final version of the resource, which will be published in late 2018 or early 2019.
